Since the nineties, Antalya has captured the tourist market with the unique unprecedented offers for tourists to become “Sultans” for a specific period of time that could last from one to two weeks and even more. I mean, of course the All-inclusive concept that has since spread to many parts of Turkey, such as Marmaris, Bodrum and many other areas, as well as to many tourist destinations around the world.

Today we see offers for All inclusive, Ultra all inclusive, unlimited all-inclusive etc. However, when booking for an all-inclusive hotel in Turkey, you should be very careful and have a detailed look at the many tiny details embedded in each hotel’s website, or travel agent’s offer.

From my own experience in Turkey, there could be a huge difference between hotels, in terms of what each property offers within the paid price for the total stay even for hotels with same star rating.

Some hotels would include in the all-inclusive concept, Full board meals, free drinks during and between meals, free access to pools and beach. Other hotels would also add free snacks between meals and access to free food till midnight only. Still other hotels labelled ultra al inclusive, would include all services mentioned in previous examples, and additional services such as some free un-motorized sports, or free access to a la carte restaurants. The variations are huge, and could greatly affect your budget.

In one of my earlier visits for example, I had once chosen a newly opened hotel in Antalya the offers all-inclusive concept. I was so luck this hotel, was then called “Topkapi Palace” – that actually provided ultra-all-inclusive concept. This included all meals, snacks, drinks and fresh juices. It also included all local & imported alcoholic drinks, free multiple access to the a la carte restaurants, Wastepipe, many animation and entertainment activities. It also included of course free access to the beach and the various pools.

The rule of thumb, is to read between the lines and ensure you have the full detailed picture of what is included and what is not, before booking.

In later posts I will provide you with more reviews for more different hotels along the Antalya Mediterranean Coast.

Enjoy your stay.
